Styled as a traditional rice warehouse, this rest area stocks a variety of local products from around Akita.Inside is also a farmer's market, restaurant, udon and soba shop, along with a selection of baked goods made with rice flour.

Rokugo in Misatomachi, Akita prefecture is famous for its fresh spring water.
Niteko soda and local beer, made from this delicious water, are available at the Hatachiya liquor store.
The breathtaking sight of a spring rising up in the store's compound may wash away cycling fatigue.

Visitors can taste local Misato cuisine here!
The roadside rest area is on Route 13. As well as selling local sake and sweets and Misato specialties, it also includes a restaurant using locally grown vegetables and rice.
Visitors can try local dishes such as "Misato Tanuchu" for 500 yen, or "Misato Manma" for 800 yen.

Featured with naturally brewed, additive-free products
This is a traditional shop that has been making miso at Kakunodate since long ago that also sells soy sauce.
They still continue to make miso, soy sauce and pickles, handing down techniques. There are four stores, and at the head office you can also sample miso, soy sauce, and pickles, so why not stop by?
Amazake (sweet non-alcoholic sake) and other related products are also sold at the "Maruyogura Koji Club", next to the main shop.

You may meet an Akita dog.
This is a souvenir shop on the shores of Lake Tazawa. Recommended is the youkan sweets made of local famous sake "Hideyoshi" and inaniwa udon noodles.
